Safire SF-IPCV037UWH-8
All cameras we sell, including the Safire SF-IPCV037UWH-8, are so-called IP cameras. These are digital cameras that can be installed and operated via an application on your smartphone. Online we find a lot of vendors that also sell analog cameras for a few tens, and of which you store the images analog on a recorder. This is cheaper, but an old-fashioned technique. You often recognize them by the message in the specification that they support POC, that is Power over COAX.
We don’t think you should buy analogue cameras anymore in the year 2020, which is why you won’t find this type of camera in our assortment. When buying a security camera, always make sure that it is an IP camera.
The Safire SF-IPCV037UWH-8 camera can be connected in different ways. Via internet cable and an adapter as power supply, or connected to a POE switch so that the power and internet connection is provided by 1 cable. This makes it considerably easier to mount the camera in the right place, because there is no need for 220 volts of power at the location in question, everything goes through a standard internet cable.
Because this camera from the brand Safire, part of Hikvision, this camera is easily integrated into the AJAX alarm system.
Safire SF-IPCV037UWH-8 can be integrated into the AJAX app.
Cameras from the Safire brand, among others, can be integrated into the AJAX application. This means that the live camera images are directly visible in the AJAX application after creating your own Safire account. This way you have the alarm system and camera images together in 1 App on your smartphone.
Please note: A camera cannot be seen as a replacement for a motion detector of the AJAX alarm system. A camera will also never be able to operate the siren of the AJAX alarm. For reliable detection of unwanted persons, a motion detector is always necessary.
Safire app and AJAX app
As mentioned, the camera works completely independently, so not in combination with an alarm system. If you receive an alarm on your smartphone, and you want to know what’s going on in your home right away, you can view the live images from the Safire camera at lightning speed by either opening the Safire application on your smartphone, or the AJAX application if you have integrated the Safire account into the AJAX app.

The Safire SF-IPCV037UWH-8 has an 8 megapixel lens. This gives you a razor-sharp image, because 8 megapixels gives an image resolution of no less than 3840 x 2160 pixels. At night, you get a clear image thanks to the built-in infrared lighting which is visible up to 30 meters.
