Optex Curtain

The Optex Curtain 4 Zones is not of the brand AJAX but of Optex. However, thanks to the built-in AJAX Transmitter it is usable within the AJAX security system. The AJAX transmitter ensures that this detector also works via the wireless Jeweller signal from AJAX.

Where do you place the Optex Curtain detector

An ideal location to mount the Optex Curtain outdoor motion detector is on the facade of your home in locations close to windows and doors.

The Optex Curtain is in fact a detector that drops a kind of curtain along the facade of your home, detecting anyone who comes near your home. The mounting height of the Optex Curtain is ideal at 1 meter, but can be anywhere between 80 and 120 centimeters.

The ideal thing about this Optex Curtain detector is that it detects movement on both sides over a distance of a minimum of 2.5 to a maximum of 12 metres, depending on the settings selected.

This allows you to secure one side of two times 12 meters, or 24 meters with only 1 detector.

AJAX Transmitter

Thanks to AJAX’s built-in wireless transmitter, this range is also up to 1600 meters from the Hub. Motion detection will be transmitted to the user’s smartphone within 0.15 seconds, and the siren will sound if desired.

Adjustable sensitivity

The Optex Curtain detector can be set in 5 positions with regard to the detection distance. In addition, the sensitivity can also be set in 6 positions. For example, if you want to detect people at a shorter location closer to home, this is no problem at all. This can be useful, for example, if the house is positioned relatively close to the neighbour’s house.

Battery powered

The Optex Curtain outdoor detector is powered by the batteries of the AJAX Transmitter and lasts about 3 years at average use, after which they are easy to replace.

Protects against sabotage such as masking off

The Optex Curtain detector is a wireless outdoor motion detector with protection against masking and false activation. This is also called “anti mask”. Should a stranger cause the detector to lose its clear view, you will be notified.
