AJAX WallSwitch
Leaving the house and forgetting to unplug the boiler, that’s no longer a problem. Just one of the many problems you don’t have anymore when using an AJAX WallSwitch.
Curious how much power a certain device costs? With this WallSwitch you can read it exactly. Also ideal when renting out houses, you can track exactly how much power your guests use.
What a WallSwitch can do:
- Operates at a distance of up to 1,000 meters from the Hub.
- Switches lights, fans, air conditioners, boilers and other household appliances on or off.
- Can perform commands when you turn the Alarm on or off.
For example, if you turn on the Alarm, the water heater will always turn off automatically.
Keep track of the power consumption of the connected devices.
Safety first
AJAX WallSwitch can prevent malfunctions and damage to equipment as a result of problems in the power grid, such as lightning strikes. The WallSwitch interrupts the power supply to devices in the event of under- or overvoltage. To prevent fire, the WallSwitch is switched off when the WallSwitch exceeds 65 degrees Celsius due to an overload.
The maximum load of the AJAX WallSwitch is 3000 Watt.
Via the Ajax App. you can easily control the connected equipment such as air conditioning, lighting or boiler.
Functionalities
Works with the 110 V and 220 V mains. The meter shows the power consumption in real time.
Installation and setup
It is installed on a recessed wall plate and connected to the internal power supply network.
AJAX WallSwitch applications
There may be many products that you want to operate in combination with, for example, switching the alarm system on or off. A common application is to use the WallSwitch to switch on garden lighting at the same time as switching on the alarm system. If you switch the system on, the obligation in the garden will also be switched on automatically. If you switch off the alarm, the garden lighting will also switch off.
Switching the lighting on or off at the same time as the alarm is not the only thing the WallSwitch can do. You can also choose to control a large building light of, for example, 500Watt LED lighting in your garden when the alarm system detects a movement in your garden. This will actually put unwanted visitors in the spotlight by projecting an extreme amount of lighting in your garden as soon as the alarm system goes off. Of course, the lights go off again as soon as the intruder is gone.
All these possibilities of the AJAX WallSwitch can be set in the AJAX application under the heading Scenarios. Here you can set exactly what the reaction of the WallSwitch should be according to the status of your alarm system.
Do you want to use the possibilities of the WallSwitch, but you don’t have an option to mount the WallSwitch behind your wall socket? No problem. Then use the AJAX Socket. It can do exactly the same operations, but do not mount behind the wall socket, just plug it in. Thanks to the built-in luminous ring, you can also see by the colour of the ring what the consumption of the connected device is. And an exact power consumption can be read in the AJAX App, just like with the WallSwitch.
